Day 1 (5/4/13)-Travel Day

This morning we woke up early, grabbed breakfast at Panera, and then caught the bus to the airport! It was a pretty smooth process getting our bags checked and going through security. After, we waited for a couple of hours for our plane to Texas! The flight only took about 3 hours and was not too bad except for the fact I had to sit next to a crying 5 year old. I was thankfully able to get a few hours of sleep after the long, cold, and uncomfortable last night in towers. Once we arrived in Texas, a few of us grabbed a big meal at T.G.I.F. I got tortilla soup, steak, ribs. Now, we are currently waiting at our gate for another 2 or 3 hours which seems to be taking forever, we just want to be in Chile already! Our flight leaves at 9:30 PM from Texas and we should be in Chile early tomorrow morning! Today has been pretty crazy but has been a great experience for getting used to traveling for long periods of time and has been a good time for all of us to get to know each other.
